Social media plays a large role in today's society and has become such an essential tool, that not even businesses can survive long enough without some sort of social media presence. In this course, we dove deep into how social media has affected us as a whole, from the way we communicate with each other to the decisions we make. Different from any other course I've taken, our course materials consisted of Buzzfeed articles, Netflix episodes of Black Mirror, and other current sources that directly related to what we were learning. It really made the class engaging and interesting because of how relevant our readings were and how we could relate them back to the evaluation of our society. This knowledge also helped us when creating our digital campaigns for the business/team/organization we selected. All the resources we had been using showed us the best methods in which to get a message across to our desired audience.
